Aatu Isopahkala.
I make experimental music, software, philosophical frameworks and playable worlds. Scroll deeper: the further you go, the more names the maker acquires.
Begin at the surfaceOne maker. Quite a few questions.
I do not fit neatly into one category. My background includes work in care and disability support, and years of independent exploration with AI tools and software development.
I am interested in what happens when technology explores questions with no predefined use case. I would rather examine how the axes of a coordinate system come into being. Sometimes a raccoon occupies the observation point.
Anomancer.
Music, writing and things built. On the other side, each has a place of its own.
Ideas may travel alongside the work, but no one needs to learn them before exploring it.
On the other side.
Work, Äppö’s stories, Anopedia and writings have their own archive.
Explore Anomancer ↗What I write, why, and for whom.
I write about machines and people, language, power, and art. Especially what happens when the definitions we rely on stop being enough.
About
AI and authorship, perception and the structure of reality, fenosofia, and the systems we take for granted.
Why
I want to understand how questions are constructed. So I experiment, take things apart, and rebuild them. Including my own ideas.
For whom
The curious, the skeptical, and the makers. Also people who don't fit ready-made categories. Agreement is not required.
A text is not a truth machine. It's a tool for investigation.
Black Hole Core.
Post-genre. Post-systemic. Post-everything.
Beyond the horizon lies no bottom, but another universe. The names run out. The sound remains.
Two names. Boundless sound.
Black Hole Core and Unadapted. Two different ways of letting music change shape.
Black Hole Core
Nearly a thousand tracks that refuse to stay within any genre or form. Sound is free to change direction, structure and identity.
Unadapted
A musical collaboration with my brother, in which I also work as producer. A different name, its own direction.
A small planet. A living world.
The black hole is not the end. A landscape follows, where a raccoon has a home and Shiro walks alongside. This is a small public 3D preview of a world still in development.
The 3D world could not load. Try again or keep exploring the page.
Below the clouds.
The atmosphere gives way. Below await a small house, an apple tree, a pond and a campfire.
There is life here already.
Äppö waves. Shiro walks beside him. There is room around the fire for a penguin, a bird and an earthworm.
The world continues.
A small glimpse into Äppö’s world. His stories will have a home of their own later.
Back to civilizationIf something still echoes.
For music, art, software or possible collaborations, feel free to get in touch. Not everything needs an explanation before a conversation begins.
The horizon ends here. Curiosity does not.
